Los consumidores de todo el mundo est\u00e1n cada vez m\u00e1s dispuestos a adoptar nuevas tecnolog\u00edas y modelos de comercio electr\u00f3nico. Esto representa grandes oportunidades y riesgos para los prestadores de servicios, minoristas, compa\u00f1\u00edas de medios, bancos y la gran cantidad de otro tipo de compa\u00f1\u00edas que compiten por un pedazo de la cadena de valor digital.<\/p>\n<p>Para conocer las tendencias de los consumidores con respecto a la tecnolog\u00eda digital, comunicaciones y el comercio electr\u00f3nico, KPMG International realiz\u00f3 la 5\u00aa Encuesta Global de Consumidores y Convergencia: El estilo de vida convergente (Consumers and Convergence 5: The Converged Lifestyle). En \u00e9sta se presenta la opini\u00f3n de 9,600 consumidores de mercados clave alrededor del mundo, incluyendo M\u00e9xico, para saber qu\u00e9 dispositivos tecnol\u00f3gicos y servicios est\u00e1n usando y c\u00f3mo los est\u00e1n usando. No es de sorprenderse que en 5 a\u00f1os hayamos visto muchos cambios. En el 2006 las preguntas de la encuesta se enfocaban en el uso de la telefon\u00eda fija, los mensajes de texto, la mensajer\u00eda instant\u00e1nea y la b\u00fasqueda en internet: los tel\u00e9fonos inteligentes todav\u00eda no eran adoptados por la mayor\u00eda de los consumidores, y las tabletas no exist\u00edan. Las redes sociales estaban poco desarrolladas.<\/p>\n<p>Hoy los consumidores hablan sobre c\u00f3mo la tecnolog\u00eda facilita su forma de vida. Desde hacer compras por internet hasta estar en contacto con amigos y familiares a trav\u00e9s de las redes sociales, los consumidores parecen depender cada vez m\u00e1s de la tecnolog\u00eda. Con estos cambios, muchos negocios se est\u00e1n enfrentando a retos significativos para adaptarse al nuevo modelo de negocios.
