- Artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and data protection mission priorities.
Mexico City, July 5, 2024 – From July 8 to 11, a group of companies from the Mexican Association of the Information Technology Industry (AMITI), headed by Sofía Pérez Gasque, director of the association, will carry out a work mission in Washington D.C. The objective of this visit is to highlight the strengths of the Mexican information technology industry to various key actors in the capital of the United States, with the priority topics being artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and data protection.
During the tour, meetings are scheduled with various key entities and actors such as the United States Chamber of Commerce, the Organization of American States, the Information Technology Industry Council and some members of Congress, among others.
Mexico, a trading partner of the United States, thanks to NAFTA and now the USMCA, has created the necessary conditions to have a strong regional value chain in America. AMITI seeks to highlight how our sector contributes to this and also listen to the concerns of the IT industry in the United States with the aim of working together towards a successful review of the T-MEC in 2026.
